Categories: , ,

Keep your hands toasty in these striped mitts inspired by knitted brioche.
Just like it’s knitted cousin, this crochet brioche stitch creates a double layer fabric that is both practical and stylish. Contrast your two favourite colours together for a fun stripe effect.
Pattern includes instructions in four sizes.

Finished measurements: Cuff circumference (at forearm, about 4-5 inches above wrist)/Palm circumference:
Extra Small: 7/7.25 inches (this size fits a child)
Small: 7.75/8 inches
Medium: 8.25/8.75 inches
Large: 9/9.75 inches

Yarn: Fingering weight wool – alpaca or animal fibre blends are best suited to this design, ~ 360-400m per 100g.
2 x 100g skeins in contrasting colours.

This is a project created using basic stitches but the method of shaping will require crochet confidence. Knowledge of post stitches is essential.

The technique you use to make these mitts makes a double thickness fabric. They are beautiful and warm and look great. The pattern is really well written and logically steps you through the process
